Saturday driving....

Yesterday was lots of fun. We checked out a book fair and found some French comic books that Chris got pretty excited about. He also found one called Le Petit Prince which is apparently a really famous children's book in France. Luckily, when we have children they will be so brilliant that they will just know French and he can read it to them (and then they can read it to me!)

Le Petit Prince is one of the most famous books in the French language, and is one of those works that transcends age. It's been translated into many different languages, and you could easily find it in English :) The language is very simple, but the messages and maxims are very profound. I think you'd really like it, Linzi :)

And to Chris: Quelle découverte!

P.S. Et Astérix!! Un autre grand trésor (deux en ce cas-ci). :) Have you happen to see any of the movies with Gérard Depardieu as Astérix? If you like the comics, you'd like the movie, too. They're fairly recent (i.e. many done within the last decade, the most recent from 2008). :)

I actually own Le Petit Prince in French. You've had a copy across the street the whole time and you didn't even realize it! I feel so cool! I really wanted to go to that bookfair, but knew it would only end in going WAY over budget. I'm proud of myself for resisting, but jealous!!!
