Life as we know it......

Samantha

10 months old

-Can be found:

-walking everywhere, she rarely crawls anymore which makes going up the stairs a daily near death experience

-shaking her head back and forth like she's saying no

-putting her hand in her mouth and denying any sort of real people food. She liked it before, but suddenly will only eat baby food, yogurt, and string cheese.

-holding balls, especially bouncy balls

-giving me kisses after putting on chapstick

-sucking on toothbrushes

-beating the shower door down and blowing raspberries on the glass

-lifting the toilet seat lid or pulling apart toilet paper squares

-running around naked after bathtime (our favorite time of the day)

-circling around my legs anytime of day, but mostly in the morning when I am trying to get ready for the day, and at night when I am trying to make dinner

-emptying out all of her clothes drawers

-eating inedible objects like rocks, bark chips, and leafs which makes playing outside or at the park a real treat.

-playing with her adopted "older siblings". I have been babysitting for a friend the past month who has 3 boys (15 months, 3 years, and 5 years old). Sam is convinced that the 3 year old is her best friend. She loves playing with them and being chased by them. Sometimes they try to wrestle her, and I have to explain that she doesn't know how to wrestle because she doesn't have older brothers.

-cuddling with her dad when she eats her bottle before bedtime

Chris:

28 years old

Can be found:

-at the hospital or various clinics. He works 13-16 hours a day for about 26/30 days a month, which doesn't leave much room to fit in the stuff he loves!

-chasing Samantha around before bedtime. I told him one night that he only had 10 minutes to give her a bath and get her ready for bed (it was almost 7:30 and we hand't had dinner yet people) to which he replied," you are giving me a time limit on the only daddy-daughter bonding time I have?" Suddenly my stomach wasn't so hungry anymore.

-entering receipts into Quicken

-laughing at the Sunday comics when he gets the chance to read them

-reading articles about nipple sparing mastectomies and testicular histology

-playing poop or toots with Sam, you just never can tell

-munching on cashew clusters on his way home from work.

Linzi:

26 years old

Can be found:

-chasing Samantha around

- playing on the internet and watching Netflix shows during afternoon naptime

- running with a mom stroller group

-cleaning the house

-making dinner

-playing at the park with girlfriends and all the kiddos

-talking on the phone, usually speaker phone because Sam likes to be in on the conversation

-eating chocolate

-watching some tv with Chris while eating dinner and cookies
