Summer is officially underway and this is what our days usually consist of:
-Outings to the park
her hat is just for show, it comes off about 2 seconds after I put it on her
Madilynn has no say in the mater so her's stays on
-Splashing around in the backyard (and in any pool people will invite us to!)
-Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles
Sam can't get enough of them. She has all her letters, numbers, shapes, and colors down. Sadly, Chris came home one night and asked, "How does she know all her letters? Super Why?" I guess he has very little faith in my teaching influence as a mother.
Madi makes a great puzzle audience
(note scratch on cheek- she was not responsible for this)

-Lots and lots of sister and mommy time
one day I will get a picture of these two where it doesn't appear that Madilynn is being strangled to death
-Preparing to potty-trian
hopefully we will concur that this summer
hopefully we will concur that this summer
-Trying on dad's glasses.
She will put them on and say "see".
-Eating hot dogs at Costco for lunch
Chris dubbed this the "Why so serious" picture
-Riding in tractors at the fair
-Nursing our babies
-Sitting in the Bumbo
-Doing tummy time
don't' let this picture fool you, she HATES it
-Eating BBQ chips, one bag at a time
-Being Silly
I love Madi's face in this one. Can you tell she is a bit worried anytime she sees her sister coming at her
-Eating up time with daddy
Occasionally Chris gets home in time to play.
By 8:00 at night he is a way better playmate than I am. He rolls Samantha around on the ground with his head and chases and wrestles her.
He has gotten called in both nights this week that he was on call resulting in 1 hour of sleep one night and 2 hours the next. Even after all this instead of coming right home and insisting on crawling into bed like a normal person, he insists on playing with Samantha for a bit. He said to me the other night, "I feel like I ignore Madi."
I told him not to worry, soon she will be fighting for her daddy time too!
