So one week ago today I decided to give potty training a go.
Samantha seemed ready.
The question was- was I?
We went to Target and bought all the goods- Elmo potty seat, juice boxes, potty prizes, and underwear (lets talk about how I only purchased one bag with 7 pairs in it. 7 pairs people. In what world would I only need 7 pairs?!) It was apparent that after 14 accidents on day one (I know because we went through each pair twice! Luckily it was laundry day) that I would need more.
By day two we were down to 5 accidents.
By day 3, we were accident free and dry at nap time.
Now on day 7 we are doing great. Leaving the house even.
True to Samantha's nature, she adapted to change very quickly.
Now I just have to get her out of the habit of expecting chocolate chips every time she pees and a Popsicle every time she poops.
Oh yeah, and keep her from falling in. Watching her climb onto the toilet is like a gymnastics routine, and yes, she insists on doing it all by herself.

Another Brown added to the list of successful and brilliant potty trainers. Way to go Linzi...you know it's really you that was successful at training:)
