These two didn't know it at the time, but they were about to be introduced to the happiest place on earth, but only after they ate donuts at their current happiest place- The Donut Wheel.
Chris captured this beauty while driving. What can I say, these two wear me out.
After checking into our hotel, we hit Huntington Beach. We got to introduce Madi to the ocean. She didn't like how cold it was. What she did enjoy was finding every seagull on the beach and chasing it.
Chris had big dreams of building a brilliant sandcastle with his girls. They didn't care about his dreams. They pretended for a minute and then left him to build his own.
The next day was the day we had anticipated for over a year. The day Samantha would smile the entire day and Madi would behave like an angel.....after all, it is Disneyland.
It almost went just as planned....almost.

We decided to start with the Jungle Cruise. My dads dreams were dashed when we discovered the Indian Jones ride was closed. He mentioned that a time or two.
Don't let this picture fool you, she did not spend much time in this stroller.
This is a better idea of how the girls got around.....
The girls were not sure about the Characters.
We got to meet goofy (well, Madi napped right through it), Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Snow White.

We had lots of fun waiting in lines. The longest we waited was about 30-40 minutes.
I had forgotten how scary some of the rides were. PeterPan freaked Sam out and then we followed that with the Mr. Toad ride and she was really not feeling the happiness. After a ride on Dumbo, the tea cups, and the cars she was liking it again.

This was one of my FAVORITE pics of Madi. That face!!!!
Chris and I had lots of fun when we went back that night by ourselves. We hit all the adult rides. Disneyland at night on the roller coasters while the fireworks go off is pretty cool.
Space mountain was my favorite.
The next day my mom, Chris and I got to go to a tapping of The Price is Right. It was a long day, but so much fun! We had to arrive at noon and the tapping started at 4. We got to do a lot of people watching and it was fun to see what happens behind the scenes. You can see us 3 rows behind the bidders on May 30. I am sure we look ridiculous screaming out bids. One of the contestants who was an older lady bid what Chris yelled each time and sadly, never got on stage.
California Adventure was next!
Madi got to do a little splashing around while others rode the Tower of Terror.
Everyone needs a picture of them naked enjoying the streets of California adventure.
The girls LOVED the Phineas and Ferb dance party.
The Carousal was one of the only rides Sam wanted to ride again. She loved this purple horse.
We decided not to leave the parks for naps, which was probably a bad decision.
The girls both finally gave in and fell asleep with my mom. Note Madi using her swimsuit as a blanket.
We finished off our vacation with a quick trip to the beach. One of the highlights of this beach day was when a seagull came and stole an entire bag of graham crackers out of our bag and flew off with it.
This is my dad. He is allergic to the beach because he is a mountain man.
Here is Chris doing his best Bay Watch impression after he left me a message in the sand.
Thanks to his time in the sun, he came home with a killer back sunburn.
I have decided that any place with grandparents (especially when you only get to see them a few times a year) is the happiest place on earth!!!

So fun! And I agree, Space Mountain is the best ride! And I'm sorry that Indiana Jones had to be closed. That's a great one too.
