The day we have been waiting for..........

So this is how the day started out:

Notice the IV and awesome hospital gown? That's right, who doesn't start off graduation day at the hospital? Samantha decided to throw us a surprise and had a fever so we had to take her in to the EU. After a few tests they discovered that she had a UTI and made things a bit more exciting by announcing that she would have to be admitted for IV antibiotics. Super lame. They knew that Chris' graduation was at 3:00 so they were great to get us up to a room fast. We had a great internal debate about whether or not we should leave Sam alone for a few hours, but in the end we decided that we couldn't miss graduation.

That fuzzy person is Chris being "hooded"

Lukens, Browns, Allens,Dodds,Treimans, and Van Burens

Some of the most wonderful women around

Here are the dad's with their children...
except ours was missing... sniff sniff

Terry and Hatty came for the exciting event
(yes that is a giant Billiken in the background)

Now that he's a doctor he can operate anything right?

After, we headed back to Cardinal Glennon and decided that we needed a picture of Chris with Samantha in his gown....not many can pull off the graduation cap, but I think she makes it look pretty cute!

After 8 years of schooling, Chris (along with his colleague Dr. Doofenshmirtz) has earned the right to say.......

Congrats hun, we are so proud of you!

Hurray! I can't believe the time has finally come. I'm so happy for you two. Poor baby getting a UTI and missing all the fun. She sure is cute in her little hospital gown though.

Ahh, memories. I'm so sorry that Samantha pulled a fast one on you. She's just as amazing as our children...living life a little in the dramatics...
I will forever hate that it rained on the day of graduation because I think I look ridiculous in all of the pictures (not to mention my incredibly wrinkled shirt. AH!)
