Ostrich Farm?

When we first moved to Tucson we drove in from Phoenix.  We noted that there was an ostrich farm on the side of the road.  Ostrich farm?  Turns out Ostrich Farms are pretty entertaining, and quite scary if you are small.  This particular one has donkeys, deer, goats, ostrich, ducks, and lorikeets.  You are allowed to feed all of them, although warned by many signs that some of the animals might bite!  My friends little boys arm did indeed end up inside of the mouth of an ostrich- but no harm was done.

Here we are feeding the Lorikeets.  They give you a cup of necter with a lid on it and you just hold it in your hand and the bird comes over and takes the lid off and drinks it up.  As you can see, it freaked both Sam and I out a little bit.  We didn't get pooped on though, so that's always a positive.

So when I said that Tucson doesn't have any great land marks, it turns out I lied.  So please, come visit soon.

I have always wanted to go to that ostrich farm! Ernie said he would take me but he has lied so far.
