What do you like to do while a tornado runs rampant through your town? (It was actually quite a few miles away from us, so we were rather safe...just had to listen to the fun tornado sirens) We chose to hold the last installment (in the foreseeable future) of the annual Brown vs. Dodds Easter Cake Challenge. As you can see, this year each family came prepared with unique, outside the box ideas (no flaming self-destructing bunnies this time around). Detailed diagrams, structural supports and quite a bit of thought went into these creations. If this whole medicine thing doesn't pan out, I think we'll just start a bakery together and maybe be the next Cake Boss/Ace of Cakes. Obviously each of us thought our cake was the best...what do you prefer, the Angry Easter Birds or the homage to Easter Island?
Anyhoo, it was a lot of fun...we're going to miss the cake and pumpkin contests that we've enjoyed so much during the last few years. Also, what kind of blog post would be complete without a few more pictures of Samantha (that's what you have to do when you're a parent, right?)

It was a blast as always and I can't believe next year we won't be able to do it in the same room...Seriously, our cakes were awesome this year. We rock.

Okay, Easter Island cakes are amazing...and I'm not even trying to suck up. Absolutely AMAZING! And that little Samantha...crap, she's cute. The picture on the bottom right with the black headband - what a babe. (Is it just me or does she kind of look like a mix between Chris and Paige? Sorry, Linz...don't see much of you yet.)
