Dogs in Strollers, rocks in cages.....

So we decided to have one last family vacation before Chris started work and thanks to the Hillier's we were able to vacation in the grandness of Oceanside California. Chris regrets taking me there because I won't stop talking about how much I want to live there now. It is perfect. Perfect weather, the beach only miles away from your front door, who could ask for more? Anyhow the title to this post refers to the next 2 pictures....

What is going on here?

But more importantly, what is going on here? I seriously walked around this thing several times to try and figure out why in the world this rock was so special that it needed to be protected. Any ideas?

We walked the pier and ate yummy crepes at the street market
We played on Coronado Beach
Note: Sam is in a swimsuit (thanks to Jackie) but purely for picture purposes, we were not cruel enough to dip her in the freezing water!

Samantha built her first sandcastle all by herself. A prodigy don't you think?
It was more difficult than I thought it would be keeping Sam shaded from that all encompassing sun. Sadly to say, she did get a tiny sun on her nose and cheek.
Chris was rocking the wetsuit and tried out boogie boarding for the first time. He took the waves head on and more than not, they won. It was fun to watch him drift down the ocean.
It was only 3 days but it was one of the best vacations ever. Thanks Hilliers!

That looks like such a fun trip. I love, love, LOVE the last picture with Samantha sleeping. So cute.
Now, I think I may have the answer to the dog in the stroller question. That is an INCREDIBLY...umm...shall we say "busty" woman? Clearly she was afraid that her pug would be disoriented in the shadow cast by her bosom if he were walking on a leash. She obviously couldn't pick him up either...for fear he would get lost in there. The stroller was the only sensible solution. Inappropriate? Yes. Possible? Also yes. :)

Looks like fun. I so wish we could have been there to play with you guys. I also like watching Justin get rocked by the waves while I eat chips on the beach and get a tan. :)
