So we all know of a kind cricket named Jiminy. He is green and wears a top hat and carries an umbrella and even wears white gloves. What's not to love right? Well, Jiminy's genes have been crossed one to many times because this is what I have hopping around my house:
Doesn't look as friendly does it? I have officially announced an extermination order on them after killing at least 5 or 6 a night for the past few weeks. They must die. I called in the pest control guy and he came yesterday. He was kind enough to show me what their poop looked like and to tell me that they are the favorite food of scorpions. Gee thanks. One more thing to worry about. For now I have a shoe that has been dubbed "the killing shoe". It sits on the bottom stair where it is easily accessible for any encounter.

Oh boy...I'm going to need some sort of proof that this situation is under control before I am going to come down there and sleep on your floors....
I hope the killing shoe is a Doc Marten!!
I've killed two of the same breed of beast in our condo in STL. Ugh! Beware: They jump at what they're afraid of. When I googled them, they warned that they will jump into clothes! Sweet dreams :)
